They might have even come across on a ship next to each other. My 86 was originally sold in Columbus OH. I wouldn't think VINs' would be close but maybe.

Straight6, any info? Midwest original sale? year?

I remember meeting you at a party, i think it was your birthday (maybe 21st?), a few dozen moons ago. Your M is looking stunning as always. And i don't think ill ever forget doug ripping past me at a billion rpm in his white M down 101. A bit ago I randomly saw a picture that said uberpanzer in the corner and it was a e21 damn near on its side taking a corner around a cone.

              good shit...
Thats his daily. It IS him though. The days you speak of were my favorite days of all. If you met me at my house for my birthday then you met me during possibly the best times of all best times Ive ever had in the BMW community. Was it at my house and there were tons of people? ALL the homies were there. That party has literally become the stuff of legends. Its what everyone brings up when we all hang out again. That era was when everything was on the up and up. People came from 4 different counties for that party. All BMW folk. I havent thrown a party like that before or since.

It was in deed the party of parties. Bimmers parked for a day and half walk. It was one of the 4 or 5 trips i took to SoCal to visit family and the bimmer group. Was from Oregon then and still up here. I had just moved from Ohio before that. Shit was crazy down there, I remember during a meet being on a 5 lane interstate and slowing it down to a crawl with 20 or 30 euros. Banned from counties and shit haha.

                E30 stuff:

I've had interior water problems and am running a light weight carpet delete kit. When i pulled the carpet i noticed surface rust around the base of my gas pedal. Also there is a baseball sized hole where the passengers right foot goes. Dealing with that later but i decided to wire brush and sand down the rusty section around the pedal. While being ass deep under my dash i thought about how annoying it was that i don't have a proper dead pedal. My foot really wants something to do when im cruising. So i Made one. Took a thin gauge piece of metal sitting around and snipped it to 3.5" x 13". I rolled the long edges for some rigidity and then drilled a pattern of 15? holes to about 3/8". Then i took a couple sockets and my press and "dimple die" (<--i can't think of the past tense verb? dimple dead? :P ) so that i had traction. Works well and a test drive shows i got pretty close to where i wanted it. 30 min + paint.

And a rainy day at work. was better in person

Oh wow so you really did catch the heyday of this thing! That was another unreplicable story. We were a wild 4-county-wide (OC, SD, LA, and SB people attended weekly) bunch that was always getting into trouble or some sort of debauchery haha. Wow thats another little-known story. People still bring that up from the old school. "Dont come back to Orange County". hahaha. We were in the papers, remember!?!? I remember it like it was yesterday the beginning sentence was "A caravan of 5-100 BMW's was reported causing havoc on Irvine roads and freeways Sunday". 5-100 was the funny part. Those were some of the best times of my life. Clean, friendly, havoc was had every weekend for the Sunday "brunches".

I remember the title of the article!! (which is a rarity for me to remember anything that long ago). It was "BMW's Hells Angels". I remember I framed it.

You need to find that article, that would be king bro. lmao BMW Hells Angels, F yea.

I had forgotten they were Brunches. I just remember showing up to some huge parking lot (being young and from out of town) and just rows of euros. Then everyone would all get amped up and take off. "I had to follow or id get lost, 100mph or getting lost in LA...."

I get happiness from these memories but they make me feel old. Like when our stories get better than our days, we might be old. Damn, i want to have fun like that again, and not feel old haha

Damn I would have no where to begin looking for it. hmmm. And on the "getting older" part. You and me both brother. Good, clean fun. With good friends who had your interests at heart and the worse thing that could happen was possibly a ticket. Definitely a change from the friends that I had/have that werent met through the car thing.
