definitely going to go for an OEM look with this one

Not everyday you see a Euro model of that rarity, and in that shape.
Please, if you would, post some high-res shots of that beauty.
    Congrats!
Thanks! Ill post some better pictures when I get ahold of a proper camera. I love knowing the fact that I may be the only person in CA with a 316i E30 but you never know... :p

Thanks for all the comments guys

looks like a really nice car.
too bad it has the M10 1.6 in it though. RARE is not always a good thing. think of it this way, you could possibly have the slowest e30 in the u.s.! now that is rare.
my 87 euro facelift car with the M10 also has no sunroof and zero options.

I would be willing to bet that the interior is not original, I have never seen vinyl seats in any euro car ever.

like someone here already said, keep it nice!

i wish i could say the car is perfect but the reality is, its not. i could sit here and be negative about how my interior is not original and what not but honestly i love the car whether it has EURO interior or not. interior would be the last thing i work on. i'd rather buy a car i could have fun in and work on as a long-term project than buy an already built car. hey i didnt ask for an M10 to be in there, i didnt buy this car for the motor although $30 gets me a full tank. there's always a possibility of a swap down the line you never know. thanks for your input

non "euro" interior is nothing bad. I was just trying to mention that it didnt look original. I am sure that int. is 10 times better than the orig. non sport seat cloth that was orig.

I daily drive a 318i M40. it is slow, has the dreaded oil tick problem, but it runs great. It is def. a nice car that you have.

i hate ticks, had that on my m42 in my 318is oh btw you mentioned earlier that it has the 1.6 liter m10, mine is the 1.8 liter from a 318i. engine was replaced in 1999 as well as the transmission.

                    Not a 316i, it is a 316 with no i

1.6 or 1.8 (it depends) Carburated m10, there were no early 316i's only 316

I felt guilty for awhile for not reupholstering my Euro with OEM fabric, until I installed this fabric. Don't worry about restoring it to original specs. Just keep it tasteful and you can't go wrong.
