    Thanks.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. 4K is high for people in the loop with these cars. I see them listed for 3.5-4k on CL all the time though. If it's what you want and it has no rust and maintenance records then don't let it slip by you. If you are looking for a cheap DD then hold out as there will always be cheaper ones.

Ah crap, just realized that this is under 'Members Rides'. Mods, please move to 'General Discussion'.

I know it's worth what someone is willing to pay, but I'm wondering if my counteroffer would be reasonable enough to be considered in general. I'm not looking for a cheap DD, but knowing me, I would probably sell the car in a year or two for something else and I wouldn't like to take a big hit.

2.5k is reasonable for a good condition car that is pretty much stock imo.

Thanks, makes me feel less guilty about sending a "low" offer.

it also depends on what model it is. Since you mentioned it's a sedan, I'm assuming is not an iS model or an iC. If I'm not mistaken those are the only two that were not offered in 4-door. So, since THOSE are the most sought after models (and the ones that reach higher prices and have better re-sale value), I believe 4K for an "i" or "e" model is indeed overpriced, particularly being stock and at 200K miles

                      I got my '90 325i sedan for a 2.2k. 170k on the clock.

Seems like 4k is a bit high
