Its not supposed to be functional, its supposed to look good and allow you to sit your fuckin fender on your wheel. Just because you dont get it doesnt mean you should bash it. These cars aint trying to go fast around corners, if you hadn't yet figured that one out.
Edit: those wheels/tires look titties btw

wanna finish that last sentence? Its not supposed to be functional, its supposed to look good and allow you to sit your fuckin fender on your wheel. Just because you dont get it doesnt mean you should bash it. These cars aint trying to go fast around corners, if you hadn't yet figured that one out.
i understand the whole slammed thing, just not on cars that have power. Id rather see a car slammed on some meats so he can at least take a corner fast and smooth and not under-steer off the road.

Car looks great OP, you've confirmed what I want to do on the next one.
Guess I'll go ahead and get the wheels now.
Extreme performance summer tires tend to run wide at their sizes, plus 225/45/16 seems to run narrow anyway. My Kumho SPTs were 225/45/16 and were basically square shouldered on 7.5" SSRs.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

hahaha, that would work.
I was always under the impression that extreme summer" tires ran wider, but its not all of them. The direzza dz101's are considered ES' but the starspecs seem to run wider. A 205-45 starspec on an 8" would be a little tight, but you could get away with it without it looking ridiculous. Those look bigger than the average 225.-Jay

the setup in the first post looks really nice. i also like a little stretch, but i'm over crazy stretch.
i don't get why people get all riled up over one or the other though.Comment

the 225-50-16 should have a 5 percent "meatier" sidewall than the 225-45, meaning 11.5mm taller sidewall all the way around. Thats almost a half inch on either side.
a little stretch doesn't look bad, as long as it is merely to fit the tire in the wheel well and still retains the structural integrity of the tire, as in not riding on the fucking sidewall. just talking shit though, there are cars on stanceworks that i drool over
roof rack is functional, and comes off when im not gonna ride for a while.
my 29er wont fit in my car no matter how i try to attack it.
