    First drive of Spring!

Finally decided to take the e30 out of winter storage today.

Swapped the bottlecaps out with the set of Hartge type A wheels that I bought from a e30m3power here on R3V. The difference in looks is much better than I had anticipated :D

Took it for a short drive and the only new development seems to be a finicky turn lamp, I'll have to clean out the sockets I think. Also it seems that my clearcoat is giving up the fight, new spots are beginning to peel on the hood and trunk. Debating a Maaco respray this summer.

The roads are awful here, potholes and frost heaves everywhere. Makes for a rough ride even with my setup. My hat is off to you other northerners with lowered cars.

Anyway, on to the pics: (Don't diss the 4x4 look, the HD's hadn't settled back down )

Nice! Lemme know how the Maaco respray goes. My bronzit clearcoat is in need of some lovin as well, and I'm on a budget.

I took the pic just after swapping the wheels, the Bilstein HD shocks are quite firm and take a while to settle back down.

I bought the spray can kit & clearcoat from PaintScratch. I hadn't expected the color to match as well as it did (The valance was originally red).

No primer, just sanded/cleaned, then painted.

I'm not dissin'.... But settling down may not help the look of it, would need to "settle" 5 inches haha. No offense :P

I'd love to lower it, but the ride is rough enough already ;)

Blown shocks could be a culprit.
