Time to go to the dark side

Looks like I'll be keeping this vert for a little longer than I thought I would(not such a bad thing), so I'm gunna try to make it look a lil better. I've always wanted to black out a black car, so here's my chance! I used the VHT Niteshades and followed it up with some clear and wet sanding, I think they came out pretty nice. Next is to shadowline it, paint the IS spoiler and put it on, and I gotta get some wheels, etc. I put some 318is springs in the front(not on in these pics, supposed to be the same as M3) and it brought it down a lil bit. stay tuned, I'll keep updating this thread.

Never been a fan of the spray tint. I can't ever seem to think it looks right. Car looks clean though.

You need to polish those tails after a good few coats of automotive clear. You'll be amazed at the difference. It's a bit dark for my liking but, to each their own.

Great looking stock vert, that paint looks great--especially for an early model.

Thanks guys, yeah i sanded em with 2000 and buffed them out, im just afraid to sand them too much and go thru the clear. They do look smoother in person. I should have went 1 less coat of tint i think too. I need to get everything done before they will look right on the car, the car still has too much of a "classy" look

I love the ones I have on my M3 and was trying to match them as best as I could:

            That's a clean vert. How's the interior?

Can't say that I'm a fan of the smoked tails myself. Especially since the bumpers + surrounds aren't painted black like the rest of the car.

Your vert looks very clean though, I'd leave it OG.
