    Oh - I bet they're totally comparable low-wise.
But then iS lips have the cut-out notch in the middle - and don't protrude forward - and they're ABS.

Alpinas aren't 'notched', protrude forwared (at a gentle point), and are made of fiberglass(?)

Note that I've never seen or handled one - let alone drive around with one - so I could be completely talking out of my ass.

After hearing of guys on their 8th iS lip - I'd be pretty hesitant in dropping the time and money involved into an Alpina piece.

Well the cutout in the middle doesn't matter much. Not like I go out of driveways straight.

My turbo car has the same iS lip that I put on it in 2005. :)

Well - that does say something there. If you have one already - then go for it.

I guess part of what makes me want to speak up is that for as fantastic as they look - you just don't see many of them. (any of them?) It leads me to believe that they're just prone to damage.

Then there was Vlad when working with a rep one on that recession project - and how much of a headache it was to fit.

I might pick one up from "gasp" Ary in the near future. Working on the engine rebuild right now though. :)

No shame there. I'm rocking mirrors from him.

.. and it would go great with your wheels.

            Have fun with the build.
