    Booyah! Muh new beata!

Well, it's ugly, and it's not a bimmer, but it IS fairly reliable, and won't require a lot of maintenance. I thought about another E30 to kick around in, but this actually makes sense. For $1500: 99 Escort - 71K miles, auto, super cold a/c, nearly new tires, est. 30mpg?, a very smooth ride in comparison to H&R sports and Bilsty sports, and liability insurance only. Best part is, I don't have to put 25-35K miles on my E30 in the next year and a half driving back and forth to school and work. I can park it, and drive it when I want to, and work on some of those projects that have been eating at me (powdercoating the intake mani, installing 19#inj., m30 swap, headers, etc.).

So, flame away on my lil' egg.

Hey, I'm all for getting your hands on a second car to keep the miles off the E30, I'm planning to do it myself.

    But...

Slam it. I dont think anyone will rag on it. It seems like a totaly sensable decision. More time to baby the E30, and driving it will be that much better.

Well, the truth is, it was my Dad's delivery car for the Pharmacy. He just replaced it with an '05 Focus ZX-3. I couldn't see letting it go to the dealer for $1500, so I struck a deal with Dad to keep it for myself. ;) And yeah, I know:

Dont slam it and dont heat the springs, leave it as is. Just pick up some touchup paint and fix the front bumper. Other than that it looks very clean.

The idea here is to save money and save the E30 at the same time, period. So, no wings, no body kits, no fart cans, and no neon. Just an old stock beater with some good A/C and great gas mileage. And for that, I love it.

you guys KNOW you are jealous! :D

                    I have a 97.

Did me well, but I need the money.
I'll be selling it for around that too.

God a quarter of E30s look worse than that. Trust me they do.

Pic #3, your skirt is dangling. This thread inspires me to take a few pics of my beater, an 87' delta 88 with no radio and nonfunctioning windows
