    more please...

I'm thinking of re-spraying my car (the correct way) in a few months. I did have my heart set on schwarz or d-schwarz, but then i stumbled upon this picture. I remember this car from the first few months i was ever on r3v (i used to be quite the lurker) IIRC, it was an 88 with a bumper swap? i dunno.

anyway, does anyone have more pics of this car? or any other darker e30 colors you guys think would look good on my 89 IS.

    thanks!

oh, and mods move this wherever you feel it fits best, this was my first guess.

Why not spray it a non-bmw color?

heh. i was just looking at that picture the other day man. your car was def. one of my all time favorites... but the henna is looking to be even greater!

and ken - i'd like to keep it OEM if possible, the paint can be from another generation, but i'd like to keep it BMW.

dude leave it bronzit. Its funny people talk about wanting to puke on bronzit, but i see kens car all the time and I think it looks solid. Your car looks hot w/the upgrades - the color doesn't bring it down IMO. Trents bronzit was hott.
If you're going to spray it go with one of the e46 color - steel grey metallic is a sick color, or maybe carbon grey. Henna would be solid - but i'm likin dark colors on e30's these days - if you're set on a Red, i'd suggest Imola... so hot

You're paint looks fine. That's Airik's (e9nine's) Delphin, my eta's color...... Trent's car was TEH HOT.

I think this idea is fucking stupid.

The bronzit is simply hardcore and sexy. Don't change it.

When I read you were getting rid of the M3 because you wanted to "mod it" and couldn't afford, I almost could not believe it. This is silly. You don't have to mod your car to drive it.

A color change? To avoid the door jams, engine bay, etc etc to be bronzit still = $$$. What's the cost, $3k?? Jesus. And it looks hot now.

Anyway, Ryan's car IIRC is Delphin too.

thanks for all of your reluctant help... ^^^

ask bryson why i got rid of the M3... i knew the engine was dying, and it turns out it did. ( i still feel kinda bad about that )

yes i miss my M3, but the trouble it would have caused me wouldnt have been worth it.

and as far as "modding to drive" goes i know that its not needed to drive, but in my opinion, i need it. i enjoy tearing things apart, and restoring them or making them better, thats how i learn. "Modding" my car is a hobby, as well as an educator.
