    San Diego E30

Hi everyone! I'm new to the E30 scene, but I thought i'd share my ride and what i've been doing to it. Some members over at SocalE30.com have recommended me here! So this is Astrid, my 89 325i!

    Car: 1989 BMW 325i 2 door
    Engine: 2.5L inline 6 cyl (M20)
    Purchased for $1,200

    Mod List
Engine: K&N cone filter, Stromung exhaust

Transmission: Factory 5 speed Manual, unknown clutch

Suspension: H&R Sport Springs, H&R Sway bars, Bilstein Sports Shocks, K Mac's Stage 1 Front Camber and Caster Kit, Slotted front rotors

Rollers: Kazera KZ-M, Kuhmo Ecsta 215/50/R15

Exterior: Oxidized and peeling paint, dents and dings

Interior: Sparco wheel, Sparco pedals, Sparco shift knob, new rack installed

    Uninstalled Parts:
Clean dash, radio bezel, E36 short shifter, illuminated M shift knob, Timing belt kit

The car came with all those mods installed and was a killer deal for $1,200. The car has a lot of cosmetic work and a some internal work to be done. Future plans is to tidy up the car and ditch the little bits of rice on it after I get all the maintinance out of the way.

I've recently fixed the front bumper that was tweaked in a little accident. Haven't gotten around to hammering the valence, but I pulled it out as close as i can to its original shape. Timing belt, spark plugs and water pump is scheduled to be replaced in the next 2 weeks.

The previous owner bumped something that misaligned the front bumper with the passenger side popped out 1/2-3/4 inch and pushed in the driver's side and bent in the driver side fender and valence. I was able to realign it the other day, but i didn't have enough time to remove and hammer out the valence and fender as planned. I pulled them as close to its original line for now.
    Before:

    After:

    Shadowlined the chrome trim recently.

    Before:

    Masking for wet sanding

    Finished sanding and pulled in
    Paper time!

All masked up ready for paint. Also used aluminum foil in the hard to mask areas.

    4 coats.

Quite proud of myself for my first spray. Here's the aftermath!

Thanks for checking out my thread and keep a look out for updates!
