Picked up an 89 iX the other day with a little front end damage. She needs some work, but I thought I'd post up what I have so far.

Condition when I bought it:



Damage:



Did some work today, removed the front valance, the headlights, grills, the passenger fender and flare... but I totally forgot to take pictures... Whatever...

I also added a Euro Plate filer, and a respect your elders sticker ;)

There may be more, and I need to still find a few things... I'll update with pictures as progress is made! Front valance, bumper, and fender are in the paint shop... I have 6 iX wheels that i'm debating on refinishing, or running as is, but i need to find some decent (not too expensive) tires.

Id lose the borbet's and go with the weaves and some badass snowtires for winter.

Yea weaves are going on I just need to clean them up quite a bit.

Borbets have snow tires on them right now.

i was cursed with those borbets on my cabrio from the PO....but i have no weaves and no money, fml

Thought I'd bump this before winter.

I'm having some issues:

1) The previous owner (who is on here somewhere), installed a aftermarket steering wheel. The wheel, or steering column is squeaking like crazy. Though, it is either incredibly bad, or its nonexistent. IDK what the issue is...

2) I had installed a DDM Tuning HID kit, and now the passenger side light won't come on. Before it went off completely, it was flickering and would turn on and off on its own. Loose wire? or something else?

3) I now also have a passenger side running light out, which leads me to believe it may have something to do with the above passenger side head light?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

also, does your column squeak over rough roads/speed bumps?

Noises is only when I turn the wheel. Noise is different (sometimes better sometimes worse)when I push the wheel towards the column or pull towards me. Which makes me wonder if the wheel was just installed too tight or loose??

i was wondering about the car and hoping to see an update on the iX and came across this. the aftermarket wheel was on the car when i bought it. hope to see some pics and good luck with that issue.
