                        This should be a lesson to many to replace your old fuel system components... before something happens. ....trust me you are better off spending $100 now than having your car burn down.

                          Oh man.. at loss for words..

                          the two, 2" inch chunks of line under my intake were pretty rotted-looking from heat cycles

                          went to a parts store and told the guy I needed like 4" - he handed over 6" without charging and told me to have a good day.

                            To be honest, id just fix that. Itd be cheaper than absolutely nothing. So go to your junkyard and replace what needs to be replaced. Rock the burnt look too and be all cool saying my cars better than yours because it survived the apocalypse

                              I walked into local store to get a few feet of rad /exp tank hose as I was fixing my brothers 540i, parts guy did the same thing to me... just gave me a new hose and said have a nice day... I asked him twice how much, etc... WTF...
