haha good story. almost reminds me when I ran out of gas 4 blocks away from the gas station. It was an uphill so no pushing. Had some alcohol in my trunk and poured it into my gas tank, started no problem

I was driving on Ortega highway out of the Lake Elsinore area this afternoon, I then noticed that my temperature gauge was a needle length away from red, I pulled over and popped the hood to find that the lower radiator hose had a hole in it. fml. Driving the highway was scarey and sketchy as hell to begin with but this added a whole new element of anxiety and repeatedly saying "Fuuuuuuuuuck!"

But, thankfully I found some electrical tape in the glove box and was able to patch up the tube. Then I asked the friends I was with to sacrifice their water bottles to my car, but the whole 16 oz we had and small amount of spare coolant I left in the trunk wasn't gonna cut it. So the only thing I could do was call tipple A and tow this bitch.. oh wait, no fucking signal because we're in the middle of a damn mountainous road in hell's asshole.

As I look over the side of the turnout I stopped at, lo' and behold, there's a small river running parallel to us! Grabbed the empty coolant bottle and ran down there. Filled up the coolant reservoir and turned that dirty slut back on, check for leaks; none.
