Greeting Everybody! Im in San Diego and just picked up this e30 a few weeks ago in LA. She's an 1990 325i Sedan, "Bone Stock". It has 145,000 miles and an automatic. The motor is really strong with no leaks I can tell so far except for the oil pan bolt.
The paint looks like it has been coated once before in the same, "Widely Hated, 139 - Bronzit-Beige". The only thing I have done to it so far is replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets and shadow-lined the chrome around the windows with a flat black. The color match came out perfect against the stock black and rubber. And I also spent about 30 minutes, attempting to remove the ridiculous yellowing factory coating on my valve cover and throttle body, "That stuff is everywhere inside the engine bay".
I have a laundry list of ideas and improvements I want to make to this car, but the first and foremost will be to rebuild the suspension completely. Second will be a complete braking system upgrade and new wheels and rubber. Then end of summer I think will be a 5 speed conversion and drive-train upgrade.
So... hello, just wanted to introduce myself as I will be looking to this forum for inspiration and the occasional expertise from you folks!!!
