Hi guys,
I've been around for a little while and figured I should probably introduce myself and my car. Names Donlon, I'm 19 and this is my first car. I was never really a big car guy, no one in my family is. But I started getting into it more and more as I was looking for my first car. I kinda had my heart set on a bimmer, two of my friends had them and I liked em. I'm kinda… Well… Poor haha so when I found the e30's we're relatively cheap I was kinda stoked as they were my favorite model that BMW had put out. So after about 8 or 9 months of looking I picked up a 1986 325es. I wish I had known about the forums before hand, probably could have done better but oh well. Anyway, I picked her up for 2 grand in the august of 09. I felt it was a good deal because the paint was pretty much spotless aside from an unsightly scrape on the lower driver's side door. To top it off the guy had 5k in receipts from an engine rebuild that was done in 06 by a local garage, lucky me he then proceeded to knock up his wife ;)
Anyway, here are some pics I snapped before I had done anything to her.

I had just recently picked up some new suspension from a friend whose e30 had been in a crash, so she was sitting on bilsteins and H&R springs (race I'm pretty sure). Then sadly I was on my way home from Irvine when this happened in late september/early october

It was the first rain of the season, more of a super heavy mist all night. And while heading up the 405 someone up ahead cut someone else of and the lady had to slam on her brakes and came to a complete stop. I had plenty of time to stop but as I was braking my wheels suddenly broke free and started hydro planing. And yeah… My car was lowered and she had some honda that ended sitting its ass right into my hood. Worst part was I was able to fix her rear bumper when we were on the side of the road so thankfully no insurance stuff. I don't know if I had reacted fast enough and thrown it into second or something if I could have saved my car but I guess I was just inexperienced :-( I wasn't quite sure what to do, but I ultimately decided to save my little car.
I've slowly been repairing her and working towards getting her back to where I was but it's been slow. I finally gave it a full wash and wax today and figured I'd post up. Here it is as it sits immediately after the wax. Looking ok right now, almost back to where I was but with a few upgrades.

And say what you will but I love my little eta ;)
