    Nice and clean car op!

E36s are hated because they are like new civics dude, most are clapped out. Of course a clean M3 is not in the same boat. A nicely modded e30 would destroy most e36s, it all depends :)

Plus e36s have a small tendancy to have annoying fall apart problems.

But beautiful car! My least favorite color and car coming into the BMW scene has grown to become one of my all time favorite car+color combos.

I can tell you as someone with a good amount of seat time... this M3 with just sticky tires and AST coilovers would absolutely destroy my 88 325iS which was swapped, Ground Controls, Big Sways, Big Brakes and more. I LOVE E30s but the E36 is a better chassis if performance is your game...

Now which one is more fun to just beat the hell out of and slide around? E30...

The 'fall apart' stuff I always find interesting. Yes some items do but look at E30s. The crank on the sunroof falls off. The glovebox latches break. You eventually have to unlock them only from the trunk. Etc Etc. All BMWs have they quirks :)

This is why I sold my E30 and bought an E36. No contest which is a more competitive chassis, and for me, more fun to drive.

Exactly. My E36 has been really solid and reliable. It has no more random annoying issues than any E30 I've ever been in had. All cars have quirks, E36s just have different ones than E30s do.

I like it but it is one of the loudest you can get. My favorite part is the burbles while engine braking... wonderful.

I am not going to argue, yes technically E36 is better in terms of chassis stiffness, suspension and ability to handle bigger tires out of the box...but e30 can still be faster... look at Mike Akard's cars just as an example.

It just takes more effort to go faster in E30 i think, but doesn't mean E36 is automatically is faster imho.
