"316e" is something I made up. E is for eta, economy tune, low performance lol

Car is a m20b27, I added the smaller displacement badge+e for economy to say it's slow.

I picked up a high compression 10.5:1, 272 cam, worked
Head 2700cc m20 with longtube headers.

Should be more appropriate power and front weight for this e30 chassis. E36m Zf 5 speed box may be fitted for closer ratios.

This should suffice in the meantime, it's so nice I don't really want to boost it, although I could...Add supercharger or turbo or both...







S54 head back from machine shop testing, going on parts shelf. Crank/cams and block go in for inspection this week.



E30 currently unworthy to hold a s54 in the engine bay as powerplant; Would be torn to pieces lol.

The chassis brace is avail directly from Bmw, the part number and misc hardware pn's are posted on a thread in the suspension section called OEM x brace e36 something something something :P

After acquiring the 327s m20 engine, installing an s54 into my e30 (or this car) has been shifted. If I enjoy the m20 enough I may have to acquire another e30 just to s54 swap!!

I'd like to do it to hammer out a s54+e30 swap path but the current supply chain for s54 and s54+ turbo needs to beaten up...reconfigured. This will take a little time :)

My e36m race chassis is asking me for a powerplant; I have 2 bmw's and both need new hearts!! The e36m has been patiently donating all possible parts to the e30 for a while now.

the s54 will be fully rebuilt to stock if possible and wrung out na for a while if the bores/pistons are deemed perfect by my machine shop- if the block needs over bore and pistons to match then it may be a long evil s54 engine build.........for boost!

For boost will initally shoot to drop redline lower for stress and make silly easy simple power with 2 small twins, e85, stock high compression 11.5:1 pistons if possible.
