i didnt post a build thread here, but heres everything up until now -
this is how i bought them...
the previous owner was a old dude who had them on his E28. he really had no idea what they were and i got them for a steal!
they are a staggered set (7.5"8.5") of 3 piece OZ vega wheels...
no rash, no bends, just in desperate need of some love.
had to order the special sockets then did the tear down -
then gave the lips to a buddy who does polishing...
they came out great!
...the gold plated bolts came in...
...all the while i have the centers at the powdercoater getting done in pearl white...
...centers are done...
...and finally a pic of the lip sitting on top of the center.
the centercaps are polished so far, but i have big plans for them. they will be totally custom (perks of having access to a CNC router).
i plan on prepping and painting the barrels black next, then its time to assemble!
