    Abby the Cabby

Just picked up this 1990 325ic from a forum member. Shes completely stock but I've already started assembling some goodies. Not alot of pix right now but I'll post emm as I take emm. I'll also use this thread to post any updates to the car I make.
    When I got her:

    Current:

    Coming soon:
Low via Bilstein Sports and H&R races or Eibach Pro kits (leaning towards H&R's if I can find them for a good price) [check]
    frenched highs and fogs [check]
    Lip [check]
possibly a 5 speed swap (i have the getrag and drive shaft just not everything else) [check]
    e28 spoiler [check]
    Tucked D/Bs? [check(front)]

    Long term ideas:
cool kit would love a BBS or mtech1 and euro bumper combo
    Strut Bar
    skid plate
    x-brace
    HUGE sway bars
    engine bolt ons
    Hard Top
    Cardinal interior
    &
    Some Wheels(BBS,Zender,Ronal?) MhmMMMmdishmmMm [check(got some OZ's looking for some 15 or 16s)]

    and some kinda swap/engine work.
Still up in the air with what kinda route to take what ever it is I want to build it. Ground up turbo m20 could be fun. V8 could be too.

I was looking at vert specific h&r races it seems easier to find regular coupe or 4 door ...it also looks like it dosent matter.. why m3 springs?

Because they do a good job as well. They are stiffer than Eibach sports and are lower than stocks by about 1.3 inches over a traditional vert spring.

My old vert it was Bilstein sports and M3 springs

Looks good but are they stiffer than H&R's? This is gunna be a cruiser for awhile but I would like to take it out to autocross sessions at some point in time. Thats why I have all the body stiffing + LSD planned for the future.

most likely equal with H&R vert spings. I will say this when you start to stiffen things like a Vert too much you are going to have failures at some point whether it be strut tower cracks or suspension the chassis can only take so much.

My suggestion if you want to auto X check with group you plan to run with...some allow open top cars others do not.

Then possibly consider Coil overs as you can adjust to your needs. Race springs your going to need that skid plate and I know Philly's roads are crude. Plan for squeaks and leaks.

Thanks for the insight I'll consider it when getting it ready for track (this is not happening till at least next summer) And yes the philly roads are shit so if I do get races I will try and get a skid plate asap

Thanks.. the top is in great condition looks like it was replaced as recently as a few years ago. I'll get more pix up this weekend when I install the fogs, lip and hopefully the brake ducts if they come in fast enough.
