    The New Daily

I picked this up off CL yesterday to try and keep the E30 nice. Wanted something I could drive around and not have to worry about hurting something all the time.

    1988 Volkswagen Fox GL

1.8 liters of slow as piss fury. They say she was good for 80HP from the factory. Drove it home yesterday with the help of a friend and dropped it and put the old wheels on. Drives great, tons of storage, all I can ask for really.

Sorry for the small amount of pics. I am trying to get the hang of a new lense and almost all of them came out overexposed and blurry.

    Enjoy, bros.

lol thats a cool as heck little car. you just dont see stuff like that here in Perth, all quirky old cars are either ratshit or well cared for/loved and have either been restored, fastidiously maintained, or just have a 'sentimental value tax' added :P

Dont you miss driving the E30 daily though?
i totally understand what you mean, i hate driving around with my butt clenched as i dodge potholes and enter driveways, or getting that horrible feeling when you plan you night out and where you can and can't drive, then someone just goes 'Hey let's go here and then back to my place. You drove right?' haha

but by the same token its brill driving a sweet car, and not having to explain 'oh yes this is just my silly car, i have a really nice car at home, check it out here's a pic on my phone..' haha ;)

i can see you could make this quirky cool though, id say fender mirrors and some home made front splitter?

Yes I know what you mean. I will still drive the E30 plenty though. This will be good for when it is raining and stuff, long trips, or when I need to carry a bunch of stuff. I was thinking about making some sort of duckbill splitter or something actually. I really like the fender mirror idea though ...

I really like these cars for some odd reason, but I think they need to be really low to be awesome.

Have you ever seen that dude on Vortex that did all sorts of suspension work to his Fox? He eventually bagged it, but he really showed in depth what it takes to set this car up right.
