Jumping on the Eurotrash Bandwagon (mercedes content inside)

I found this.. picking it up for 300 bucks.
1983 Mercedes 300 SD turbo Diesel

I wanted a vacationing car, with plenty of room, and gets great fuel mileage (like a TDi). For snowboarding and driving around basically coast to coast from dallas.

checked it out, the car is mechanically a haus (ugly and rusty), but still a haus. AC works and there are no weird odors.

Now i just gotta get some stance and thinking about doing a WVO set up... maybe have it ready to roll come this snowboarding season.

Gonna rattle can it black, and rust it out a little more.. murdered out eurotrash with some oldschool snowboarding roof rack.

cant decide what wheels would look good, but I was excited about it and figured id share my cool story, bro

Nice find I have a 83 300td wagon that is the most dependable car ever. My cousin had one go over 700,000 on the original engine and mine is at 350,000 still pulls hard. Wvo is something I might look into if I decide to fix mine up as it has been sitting for over a year now. What are your plans for the suspension?

no idea yet for suspension, some redonkulous offset, within an inch off the ground. Prolly dropping on some coil overs and junk, havent researched suspension enough on it.

looking at MPG stuff, i'd like to get it to 40mpg hwy if not more, im diesel stupid.
