I couldn't stand it that low! and on cut springs/blown shocks it was terrible, especially for the roads here in Florida.
thanks :) and she really likes the volvo, but damn it's slow! ahaLeave a comment:

Like what youve done with the car except the fact that you raised it! :D haha,, LOVE the volvo also! I actually have one as a winterbeater.. It came with a factory LSD and it can do this..

did a coolant/rad flush
new plugs
cleaned a bit
you can see the rear wheel cambered in a bit.... still can't figure that out.
I'd never seen so much carbon build up on plugs before, the old ones were almost completely covered.Last edited by squidmaster; 09-17-2011, 01:28 PM.Leave a comment:

only post (wasn't sure if it was 5 or 9) 5/86 e models and m3 models have the large size shaft though, I think. Oh and iX models too, apparently.

My eta is 05/86 and the only difference between this driveshaft and my 88 325is is that the eta has a harmonic balancer that makes removal of the driveshaft from the output flange difficult when the bolts are fused to the nuts. That's literally itLeave a comment:

Oh, good to know. I thought it was specific fitments for shaft size.
But, I thought post 9/86 production 325e had the large whereas the i and earlier e models had the small?Leave a comment:

both are native e30 ratios, so direct fitment - I have an 86 eta and it's the same driveshaft as my late-model 325isI'm not familiar with BMW gearing yet.
I'm coming from subaru ownership where a 4.11 was a modest improvement.
Maybe I'll shoot for the 2.93 or 3.15, however what's the compatibility with the driveshafts? I have an 87-- which has the large diameter, so would changing to the 2.93 or 3.15 require the smaller diameter?Leave a comment:

2.93 is already an improvement over the 2.79, but I'd recommend 3.15 or 3.23 - very aggresive for such a low redline car. I'm putting a 3.73 in mine only after my headswap because of the increase of redline.Leave a comment:

well, the arse that had it before decided to install the linkage and shifter BACKWARDS. So, I've fixed that and now it's much better. sits straight, too.Leave a comment:

Holy shifter throw..mine was never that far.
But the car looks better than before.Leave a comment:
