that 3.91 is going to seriously limit your top speed with a 4K redline - have you found out what it is yet? I'd imagine it's like 90mph

so, I really thought that this car had been repainted another color, but apparently he just hated this car more than anything....

That's just after the first step of polishing... now I'm actually going to go through a full paint restore. There are some spots where the paint is chipped off, but it's no biggie.

Found some hella-official sockets + wires for $9 shipped on ebay. that solves my problem :)

I have some female crimp connectors with vampire clips that I was going to use, but I want to have the water-sealed connections, too. If I can't find any, then I'll just wire them up like that.

    Yup...here you go.

As far as the pigtails for the ellipsoids go, you can buy connectors at your local parts store and wire them into the sealed beam assembly.

    Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work! Love that you see the gem hiding beneath all that dirt, grime and zebra print fabric.

I had some more light today while working on it
and while replacing the dated shifter I notied that my guibo is TORN TO SHREDS.
It's toast. I mean, burnt toast that's been left on the counter for a few too many weeks.

    Ugh.

Oh, also picked up some US ellipsoids for cheap today! Woo! I still need pig tails though :(

I had to google everything that you said. I have no idea what any of that is (I don't subscribe to cable)

So, maybe thanks? Or was it an insult? aha

I've used seafoam on a lot of other cars and it's helped plenty, but I've never had it save a car the way it did with this guy.

I had stuttering acceleration and a few other issues before, but now it's incredibly smooth. I'm very surprised.

Doing some more preventative maintenance today, and just waiting on a 3.91 rear diff (i know, I know, I'm going open diff, but it's no big deal.) this weekend.
I'm not really planning to do serious autoX or anything, and I'm definitely not going to be doing any drifting, so it's not really an issue. The closer gears will be nicer for some fun daily driving, but it won't be too bad on gas (I hope!)

    Anyway, pictures

Got rid of some under-body rust as well, which was much needed.

I've also had some serious issues getting it into gear and it's really jerky when driving now.

Oh, and I also replaced the hood-latch cable and put in the kick-pull. I don't get what was wrong with the guy that owned it before me. He must have had some serious mental issues.
