The first car I've really owned is an E30. Welcome, I love the paint. 4 doors rock, despite how much people talk shit on them.

I was looking into cold air intakes but some of the guys on the bimmerforum said id be a waist of money..I'm really just looking for more hp and acceleration. I really want my car to sound alot more aggressive.. Any tips?

To sound aggressive. CAI (need heat shield), mid or long tube headers, and a free flowing muffer.

I'm still a little noob so you have to alaberate..what's a cai? And I can't do anything on my own cause I don't know what to do and I don't have time haha so for example could I get the headers and I'm sure my mechanic will install it for me correct?

CAI = Cold Air Intake. They dont really do anything but make a little more noise. And it would be up to your mechanic if he/she wants to put on headers for you.

And since this is your first car. It's a fairly simple car to learn and work on.

The cai will just make your car SOUND mean lol. It has been shown that it doesnt actually give you any gains. Although, if routed correctly, it will lower your intake air temp
