    Irene, you fickle bitch.

Our house was right in the warpath of Hurricane Irene when it made landfall in New York. Out of the 4 cars that we own we only have one garage. So, naturally my cherry E30 was tucked nicely inside while the other cars got bombarded with wind and rain.

Unfortunately two separate trees landed on the garage, collapsing the back half of it. The E30 was parked backwards in the garage so the back half took the brunt of the damage. I need a new trunk, some right-rear quarter panel work and various paint work on the roof, hood and right side of the car.

Here's the aftermath of the storm. Trust me, there's a garage in there:

This is the inside. There is a bright orange snowblower hidden behind the debris. Notice the wall bowing out on the right:

    Fucker:

I didn't photo the rest of the damage to the car, but trust me it's extensive.

    EDIT:

    Video added on 8/30/11...

Weirdly the Grand Cherokee, Beetle and Passat were spared.

Damn, that sucks! At least it's fixable, things could be worse! Do you have insurance to cover this type of thing?

Just put a bandaid sticker on the damage. I see all the ricers doing it, takes a long time...guess it heals?
