This. For any type of racing that uses the handbrake, (usually rally or drift) it's pretty common to rig up a hydraulic handbrake. My guess would be he has both systems still functioning, since the hydraulic one can't actually be used to hold the car in place.

SR20's are becoming quite the mainstream turbo motor now. I remember when the only thing people swapped them in was 240's and even then that wasn't very common. Now it's almost required to do so. lol

Nice work on this, although I'm a bit of a purist. One of my buddies is currently doing the same thing you are, except he is swapping an SR in an E36 convertible.

Was most of the work performed by you? Such as engine swap?
The engine swap and cage were done by my good friends at Touge Factory/TF Works... I can't weld, and didn't have the patience to do the wiring on the swap, so I left that up to the pros.

Yup, it's the oil catch can.

                            As stated it's a staging brake/hydraulic e-brake.

Nice work, needs more rear valence and front lippage.

Took it to a drift day for some shakedown runs yesterday and I love it, very balanced setup.

Right now it has a 4.10 welded, but I'm debating getting a shorter final drive and a 2-way.
