Well its been a year since i have posted anything about my car. As some of you may know on october 27, 2010 i hit a deer doing 80mph in my beloved e30. I was devastated but since i've had the car since 2/25/08 i learned alot about these cars and love them. I was junkyard running every other day grabbing stuff. Before i hit the deer i had already started to aquired 5 lug parts. So i decided since the car was being put back together i would just finish it all at the same time. Ran into some small problems along the way but all turned out great. Until my 330k m20 didnt wanna stop overheating. I then started searching for my m50 swap. Found one on craigslist and ended up trading my style 5's for it. At the time i didnt think it was a bad trade but i realize now i got the shit end of the stick. The valve seals were gone. Headgasket was blown and i was stuck rebuilding it. Once that was all said and done i couldnt get the m50tu to run right or even idle. So it was time for plan B. Bought a 91 4dr 318i. I drove it for awhile. Took it to SOWO. Then came back and sold it and bought a 95 zx6r. In the meantime i kept trying to figure out what was wrong with the m50.
Was on craigslist one day and found my current car, 86 325es, and said to myself its time to let the old girl go and just get another e30 and swap everything. Which leaves me with the good part of this story. Got the car a month ago. Swapped the interior and 5lug swap to make it as if my car never died. All in all im glad i finally have a car i can say im 90% done with. I'll miss the 87 since she was my first e30 but sometimes better things come together.
