Saddle Soap + Top down Cruise

Here is my 1990 Glacier blue Vert.

A buddy of mine suggested i should buy some "saddle" soap and condition my seats. I would have to say for the most part I'm pleased with what it did. My seats could really benefit from a high quality recondition tho.

Anyways on with the pics. Enjoy!

    The product

Used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser to clean the back seat first. Nasty!!

The back seat after 4 coats

Cleaning the passenger seat, Did the same thing to the drivers side.

    2 coats of the soap.

    Drivers seat

After all that work I decided to drive down to La Jolla. I phone 4 goofy HDR photos. I will be getting some quality photos in the future.

You need a shift booty ha let's find some cool ones. I used the saddle soap on my g37 and everyone wondered how I kept my seats so soft. When you say coats were you using the saddle soap on a towel with water, wipe and rinse with another towel and then dry?

      ^Yep

Ill do another recondition with the soap in a few more weeks to see if it improves even more.

Those Mr. Clean magic erasers work great! I used like 5 boxes of those things on my interior and made it look like new! But great job, looks good

I did this on my MT2 clean up. Works great.

Small suggestion. Go to the fabric store and ask for a small piece of black or navy vinyl. Take that piece and stuff it inside the cracks of the seat where the seams have separated. It makes a big difference from 5'+ away. Looking good though.

Those seats look awesome. Remember to use some kind of conditioner on the seats after you're done cleaning them. The saddle soap is an awesome cleaner, but you still need to protect the leather.

It worked great. Now they're lemony fresh(the soap smelled of lemons).
It took me about 4 hours.

Thanks! They do need a good condition for sure. It was more of an experiment. I'm planning on getting some Groits products and going at my seats again.
