Had a 600hp fully built one. Was fun but costs as much as a Supra if you want big power.

Those IS300's are solid, i was a Lexus Tech since '08 and they rarely see problems, more upkeep than repairs... And when you floor it, the acceleration is so linear, and SMOOTH! did i mention smooth? My other friend has one with 170k+ miles on it, still drives like a new one.

I like it but you say you want a nice Daily Driver. But you are already planning on molesting it which will make it less of a daily at some point.
I think you are just car envious because of where you work. Nothing really suits the bill. Why didn't you purchase someone else's modded IS300? You would have saved quite a few bucks on having to start fresh.

Wow, dude...I guess if you're happy, then cool.
You went through so much with your E30 to get it where it was a really nice car, and the Lex seems like such a massive departure from that. I just can't quite fathom it...
Again, as long as you're happy...Originally posted by LJ851kingston is the play by play announcer for this thread.

My e30 was a piece of shit, it never was that much fun. It kept breaking down almost every weekend and it was not reliable at all. This IS300 (toyota) honestly feels great and I love it. I don't plan on going nuts, but I want to do the simple shit like lower it, wheels, stuff that doesn't involve pulling the motor in any way.
IN my opinion, I stepped up. I had fun with the e30 and I enjoyed it, it just wasn't the right car for me. It was a fun first car, but after awhile it had just gotten old. As far as suiting the bill, the IS300 worked out great for me. It's luxurious yet sporty, just like the cars that we sell. I know I could never afford anything over a 100,000 grand or at least for awhile this car should do.
