this was my first BMW...
got it about 4.5 years ago and its sat for the past 2.5 of those. i bought it with 38k, and parked it with 50k miles with an overheat. its such a great car and deserved its turn to get the money attention so over the past couple months i decided to get her back on the road.
first i addressed the engine with a metal impeller water pump, new thermostat, various sensors, valve cover gasket, and all new belts. it runs like new...
next i made her look as good as she ran...
i decided on a full respray since the paint had been neglected while sitting. while i was at it i had the lower portions that were black color matched. i took the opportunity of stripping it down to get all brand new rubstrips, sidemoldings, windshield trim, plate delete, and door handle gaskets. ive always been a fan of smokes on silver so i did smoked fogs, smoked corners, smoked tails, and smoked running lights. finally, i put it on the wheels Ive always wanted it to be on, 18" staggered m parallels.
it needs to be lowered, and i have springs already sitting waiting for it but it rides so good compared to my E36 and my E30 im so tempted to keep it as is and practical.
