That's the idea. I like a good looking E30 as much as the next guy, but I like one that goes like the wind much more. :p

My car will never have a Simon S level of ground-up intrinsic beauty to it, but at some point I would like to tear it down and finally give it the cleaning up and bodywork it deserves. Until then, I am just going to make it faster to keep the stupid grin on my face from fading.

are you on the lowest your GCs go or do still have room to go lower? are they the conversion kit or the full setup from GC?

also if you are gonna change RSMs mind investing in tall/extended RSMs sooo i can get a feel on how itll look with the rear arches

It's similar to a full kit, but I got it off another r3ver (e30nate) a long time ago. Basically, the strut tubes were shortened and spindle reinforcing gussets as well as M3 tabs were added, and the threaded sleeves were added. These can go pretty damn low, I can go at least another 2" or so down if I wanted to but this is the point where I am just barely gaining camber on suspension compression, as well as the lowest I could go without bottoming out much or feeling much bump steer. Rears have no adjusters but are 6" springs.

Raising the shock mount in the rear won't actually lower the car ;) just give you more compression travel.

Great build man. As awesome as these cars look, as stated above, it really is all about the driving. Gotta say though a set of weathered euro bumps would really complete it.
