New to e30 world - 325ix (New member)

About a month ago I purchased my '88 325ix, and joined r3v about the same time. I have been following a lot of stuff on here but probably a little more on e30 tech. Not sure I got a great deal or anything, but I thought I would post it up and see what you guys think. Its pretty much all stock, except for a slightly modded motor that the previous owner purchased rebuilt. I really don't know all the specs on the motor but if you are curious just go to [URL="http://www.bavengine.com/engine.html"](previous owner bought the performance motor). So the car seems to have been taken care of fairly well. Needs a little help on some things, but it drives great and I am really loving it. I attached some pictures of the car. Overall there is no rust, except for a little spot under the sunroof on the mounts. Mileage is probably one of the worst things about the car, though some people say it shouldn't be an issue. The car has about 305xxx (odometer isn't working - stopped at 296xxx). Engine was purchased about 75k ago, and a new transfer case was put in a little after that. I have all the receipts of the work done on the car, so I have more of an idea of what needs done. CVs seem good, boots were changed not too long ago, but I will be going over them here in the next week if I get time.

Current project on the car is trying to find a vacuum leak. I think it might be one of my lines under the dash, but am not sure. I have the intake manifold off and will be putting back on here shortly after it has been ported (still it decision process - just started another thread on whether or not that should be done). There are a lot of little things that could cause small vacuum leaks I found, and with the age of all the stuff in the engine area, some stuff looks pretty nasty and old.

Let me know what you all think, and also I would appreciate some help on the intake manifold decision. Thanks

I agree definitely needs some new plastic, but not a priority at all. I'm hoping to make sure everything is good with the axles, and splines (fingers crossed).

Some good news. Removed my front driveshaft today and it looks excellent. There is the slightest bit of wear on the edges of the splines but it isn't noticeable. So I am going to clean it all up nice then lube it and replace. Hopefully it stays good for awhile.
