Damn sounds like it will be looking and feeling like new soon. May I suggest however that you swap out the bottle caps for some 15" euroweaves if you're going for the OEM+ look. I think that will really finish the car in the looks department. OR look into some Ronal LS wheels.

Definitely... When my budget permits though :(

My was to be an easy fix daily driver just became a $6,000 plus cost of car project ;)

No offense taken by the way... I realize the humor in where my simple purchase is taking me :)

In all seriousness... I have two other cars and this should be a nice toy.

Oh and as an aside (and the real reason I jumped online to my post)... Brakes, suspension, timing belt/water pump, cooling system going into the car in the next few days.

I will start recovering the sport seats by next weekend.

The bodyshop will hopefully have the car next weekend or the following week depending on how quickly everything is done.

I don't think his comment was offensive. He was saying "money pit" because once you start doing these things, you won't want to stop. Its an addiction owning an e30 (or any car for that matter), they're never quite "finished".

So I got the car back from the shop and she is running and riding well... But is leaking copious amounts of power steering fluid. Oddly enough it looks like it's leaking from the hose going into the power steering pump but the hose is on properly. Could it be the pump?

The car is at the bodyshop now getting stripped down. The windshield and rear window will be removed either next week or the week after and then I get to order more parts. Whoooo... :(

Luckily there was very little rust on the car and none of it was through the metal. Alex from New Impressions took care of it after these pictures were taken. But he wanted me to see any issues he came across.

And yes there were two E30 M3's in the shop as well as a newer E46 SMG M3, a lowered late model 7 series, an E90 coupe and another E46 sedan. He loves BMW's.

Yeah I know but I have a 90 mile commute daily so I think an auto may be easier on me at the end of the day :)
I have the pick up and my Honda if I feel like driving stick.
