So During My Oil Change, I found the PO (or whoever) stripped the drain pan hole. See The drip?

Since I didnt have means at the time to repair it, I continued with the oil change and snugged the drain bolt to a mere 6 Nm (lol)...

Drove it for 2 weeks, while i waited for a Time-Sert Kit (1215C for the Curious) and a Day off.

Here it is drilled out and Counter-Sunk

Newly Tapped Threads for the Insert

AAAnd the New Insert installed w/ Red Loctite (its all i Had)...Torqued drain plug to 25 Nm no problem- AND NO LEAKS!!

In My opinion, This is the BEST way to repair stripped out threads.Easy As Hell, And its the way my shop foreman prefer over heli-coil or Next size up method

Lucky, when I tried to tap mine, I did it crooked and fucked it up...

Nice start! I would look into doing all of the rear-end bushings when you find the culprit. It is a pain to get it apart, so you might as well get it all done.

I have that same HU and I love it!

the 1215c kit comes with an alignment sleeve thats sits on the oil pan hole flush so it wont go crooked
