I did notice the funky low beam housing. On the car yet? I want to see some pictures.

I agree with nando that the home made done look quite like the real ones. Especially the US ones. But you can get them close, and spending only 5 bucks works for me.

there is no difference from the homemade ones to the orig. hellas, if they are made correctly. this set was made by me a few weeks ago, and they look exactlly ident. to the other set that i have thats orig. actually these look better, cause the lenses are in better shape than my orig. set.

and here is a set that i used an orig. black housing, and used french yellow glass. neither of the pics look really great, but that is as large as the forum would let me upload.

the cross hairs are a thin piece of sheetmetal, that is laser cut. you need to drill 4 holes in the mirrored housing, and insert the tabs that are in the cross hairs into them, and then silicone it all. like i said earlier, you should order the kit from ebay.de, there are enough pics to understand it, and also, you will not be able to cut out a set of cross hairs, without sdome pretty complicated, expensive machinery.

from ebay.de. i live in germany, so its pretty easy to get. we should try to do a group buy, see if we can get it cheaper. in the kit i got last time, it came with a can of black spray paint also, to paint everything. didnt need it, got plenty laying around. it was about 35 euros if i remember right. my nephew works at bosch, and he works on lathes and such, so i gave him the print out from jordan on this site, and asked him if he could make me about 10 sets, but no dice, it was to compl. for the old ass machines they have in his work area.

Amazing...... just like I tried to tell people.... you could make them.... Anyway..... I'm willing to lend a hand if anyone wants to do a group buy. Between Mike and myself we could do it I'm sure.

Perhaps you can detail taking apart the lights to make this work Mike? I figure thats probably the hardest part.

there has been a few posts detailing the light on here. the black kit will also work on the U.S. non smiley elips. too. I am to impatient to take pics, and do a write up on the whole ordeal. Im pretty computer retarded, and a much more hands on type of guy to do a write up.
