just got it registered today, needs the line from the fuel filter and the tie rods replaced but other than that it's ugly and capable - plus, I can rest easy on it's pile of reciepts.

If you want some elips just go to the search bar, then go to adavanced search and type headlights in and pick the parts for sale thread and I'm sure you will get lots of options for what you want. Pretty easy to do.

Beautiful E28! My old man had the exact same thing when I was in high school, except his had a cardinal interior.

Nice pick up on the IX. Did you swoop this one up from Hinesburgh, VT? I remember seeing one on craigslist for sale recently. Looked like a good deal.

It's pretty mint, though and I love the 3.15LSD in it, wish it was in my car!
I wonder what the deal with realOEM is though, it doesn't list the 535iS as an option, oddly.

the iX was off of craigslist, NH, though... 1.5hr drive, the guy loved my car and we worked out a trade! It's staying as close to stock as possible since it needs some resto work, my 325iS gets all the fun stuff, though :)

I know the 535I had a 3.25 lsd and people swap that into E30s. I have a 325es and RealOEM doesn't list my car as an option either.

Just recently I let the deal of my life slip away. I will never forget it.

I was offered 2 E28s for 800 dollars. One was a Zinno 535is that had been sitting with a mint interior and 120k with little rust, and the other was a 528e that had a California rust free body(very, very oxidized though) that had been ditched at this guys garage by the owner after he never showed up to pay for his rebuilt tranny.

I don't want to get into the story on how I missed out bc it depresses the shit out of me and more importantly, this is your thread. Seeing your old mans E28 made me reminisce.

nah, different iX - it's not an auto but a 5spd from maine originally, then moved to NH and now further south in massachusetts.

both of those e28's are gorgeous, I hear ya about the story though... :(
