thanks man i did all the prep myself and pretty much lived in my drive way for a week wet sanding it and fixing dents. when i first got the car i went with aftermarket fenders and hood and the gaps were gross looking so i bought used oem fendeers and hood before paint and the pass. side fender must have been tweeked because the gaps were worse then the aftermarket so i ended up keeping the aftermarker on and if you look hard enough the hood is like 1/4 in longer on the pass. sideComment

im pretty sure i used 2 cans of silver which did the outside lip and the whole inside of the wheel and 3 with the gunmetal just on the outside of the mesh. i cleaned them well and got all of the break dust off and used a rough scotch bright pad and went to town, sand until the surface is roughed up. i didnt use primer but you can if you wantComment

Wow youre car is executed very well. I wouldn't do the plaid on my own car but I love it on yours it really compliments the exterior color of you car.
Did you take any pics of your prep work, maybe you can make a DIY of it just so others can benefit from your process ;) keep it up OP looks badass bro.Comment

Would you consider yourself proficient in bodywork or mechanical know how? On a range of 1-10 and 10 being I know everything lol.
Im scared of working with bondo and not getting it even and what not. Btw what was your method of removing dents??Comment

About a 6-7 on body work. I wouldn't consider myself as a proficient in bodywork. I know a good amount though. For removing dents I banged them out with different types of hammer heads depending on the dent from a kit my dad had for body work and after getting them as straight as I could I sanded the paint off the affected area to bare metal and used bondo to fill in the smaller dents I could get out completely. After letting the bondo dry fully I used 120 grit (dry sand)to sand the bondo down close to the body finish sanding using 320 (wet sand). After you finish wet sanding look for imperfections in the bondo like pin holes and scratches use nitro stain to fill in them in. Make sure you use a sandable primer before using nitro stain. (nitro stain sticks to primer) And then put a coat of sealer primer over top of thatLast edited by oldsch_e30; 12-16-2011, 05:36 AM.Comment
