well burns out with 2 wheels, clunks in low speed turns, and rotates on demand. time to get my hands on a few sets of wheels and drive sideways.
on anouther note. it seems to be impossible to get bilsteins that fit up front. after a few hours of calls and looking up part #s we think ive got a set that should of come with both male and female gland nut but minre were returned at one point and they may have kept the male gland nuts. ive got to call bilstein again to get it squired away tomorrow.

Clutch cable broke weds. Fixed it thurs. Installed bilsteins finally yesterday tried to drive the car to work this am so i could get tires mounted and an alignment after. Got half way and had to pull over due to the oil pressure line burning thru on the header. It got move against it during the clutch cable swap and i didnt notice. Took four trips to napa and me giving up the idea of an electrical gauge to see that oil pressure was ok dispite loosing 2 quarts. Now the alt doesnt wanna charge. Looks like my first event wont be til next weekend.

wound up making a gm 1 wire alt work so i didnt have to figure out the retarded ford crap. also picked up a copper tube kit for the oil pressure gauge so no more surprises there.
im broke so i wont be driving tomorrow. looks like my first event wont be til june 3rd. gives me time to clean up the wiring and tie up loose ends

Not much new Cleaned stuff up a bit and washed it for the first time
The list of stuff needed is growing. Gonna need a wilwood/tilton brake/hydro clutch setup. need a holley carb so i can run the centerhung wedge floats. Need a ducted 14" intake. Basicly all new bushings and a legit susp. Setup.
All that said i can huck it sideways and it'll be fun so ill be on track jun 3rd

no vids but i did make it to the track.
unfortunately it wasnt to drive. i pitted for this guy (chase car) @ our local formula d pro am event.
he made fourth dispite being grossly underpowered in a sbc iron block swapped 240 (which dyno'd at a tiny 230whp) proof that everyone has 600hp in the rain.
just for fun the starting grid
the green fusion 240 is actually the new car that erich is driving this year.

welp. made it to the track and drove sideways a bit. good news is that i was right and moving the weight to the backside of the front axel helped keep the weight over the axel down. bad news is that it also made it so i was light nosed and a gripped alittle too well in the rear. also ran into the carb issue and with the edelbrock on it would slosh over and kill the car and id have to wait for the bowls to refill b4 i could restart it. only go pro footage of myself was basicly no good because we had so much going on. had fun anyways and now ive got a bit of a feel for the car and know for sure what i need to fix and adjust.
wasnt super rad on track but did manage to get a couple pictures
did go for a ride in a buddys ls fc and this is the footage from him. not as new to drifting as i am but still a new dude. good to see him starting to get a feel for things
