The stockest looking and sounding swapped E30 there evar wuz!

Many have prob seen my thread for the build but it's officially, mostly done. Needs a cooling fan and that's all.

Its a 24V M50TU swap into an '87 325(E). I just got done the stainless exhaust tucked up high to keep the visuals to a minimum and running two mufflers to keep the noise way way down. Its completely stock if not quieter sounding at idle and has a nice throaty sound when revving.

Finished the 2-muffler exhaust. It is QUIET. Its a Raceland/Ebay/SSAC/whatever stainless header down to a Vibrant 2 to 1 (2 2" to 1 2.5") merge (that was a pain to make) to 304L 2.5" mandrel bent stainless back. Its using two dynomax mufflers. The first is in the middle of the car and is Dynomax 17748 the second is at the rear and is Dynomax 17733. The middle muffler is slightly taller than stock so its about 1" lower. Still plenty high even if lowered. The back one is tucked up higher than stock and is totally invisible unless you're 2' from the ground. I have a 2.5" turn down on the muffler. Total sleeper. Its quiet as anything off the showroom and you would never suspect a swapper!

Sounds awesome! I am going with a similar setup except I'm running a Borla ProXS in the middle and one Dynomax Superturbo in the back with the same headers.
Where did you get it done and is it multi piece?

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Very nice. This is what I tried to do with my swap, even going so far as to use the stock i exhaust.

It's multi piece I used stainless 2.5" V-band clamps to be super trick. I had it done in my garage on my back :)

Good idea - I probably would have went with an I exhaust if I had one. The E was definitely too small.

That car needs bigger bottlecaps, like the E36 ones. Get HUGE swaybars and Bilstein HDs, on M3 springs, or even stock. Keep it stealth!

Swap looks very nice, but I have seen a more "factory" install. The car (1993 MTech2 convertible) is a "motor out" complete color change, I will get pics of it next time it is here, it looks truly factory, but I can't remember much of the details. I do know it has a stock E36 M3 exhaust, cut and fit to the E30 mounts. The tips were re-angled to fit the MTech2 kit on that '93 E30 MT2 'vert. The battery is still under the hood as well!

                      Closing SOON!

gotta say, I love sleepers adn this takes the sleeper award. Have you had a chance to dyno yet? And that engine bay is immaculate. Looks like what BMW should've come out with ha.

Freakin B2 stealth. No one will see that coming.

                          Nice car.
