I would use the factory resonator and a Flowmaster 40 (that's what I have) or a Magnaflow. I hear they sound pretty good. Bottom line is, it is kind of hard to make an M42 sound good.

An M60, however...

Flowmaster FTW. My roommate hate one on his M42 before the swap and it sounded awesome!

As someone who owns a Honda I take offence at all the "sounds like" comments :D. Then again, my Integra DC2R runs a factory exhaust without stupid cannon etc :) My eta with 2.5 inch pipe and 3 mufflers sounds louder than the 'teg :)
