my car looks like a winter beater!

edit: new shots on pg 3

but it's so fun to drive that i couldn't imagine putting it away for the winter.

i continue to be so proud of - and impressed by - how well it does. anything i throw at it, it takes like a champ. amazing to think it's going on 23 years and god knows how many miles.

this actually sort of grossed me out -- looked like barnacles on the hull of a boat:

i've often wondered what the car would look like with the wheel centers painted nogaro silver.. i thought this pic gave me a bit of an idea

what it looked like at the end of the day and 1200 miles later

    thanks for looking

*Shivers* Ugh. The rust in my battery box just made me cringe looking at these pictures. I don't think the rear end of my car would be attached after something like that!

How was the last leg of the trip?

Just had mine out in the snow all weekend too. With proper tires these little cars are incredible. I was worried a light rwd car would be all over even with the right rubber but not even alittle. I did promptly spray mine off thoroughly this morning though and undercoated it all last fall.

That is just awesome! Though I can't believe you'd do something like that with such a clean car, I'd be terrified haha.

it's a little bit iffy, but i try to rationalize it by telling myself it's a driver, not a garage queen. which is true.

i'd have a hard time subjecting a nice 2002 or classic (1970s) 911 to this kind of treatment.
