    Exercising Patience

    Hello R3v'ers!

I've been lurking this forum since last summer, when I got my first e30 (ix) and my homie introduced me to this fantastic resource.

Here are pics of my ride(s) along with my (abbreviated) story...

    sold this...

    '06 TJ - 32" steelies, 6spd, 4x4, I6, soft top, K&N air filter

    and got this...

'88 IX - 200k+ miles, straight and rust-free body, z3 shifter, strong motor

    Labor Day Weekend '11... =(

Hit while parked, the driver "lost control, or his brakes went out" and hit 3 other cars - he only had $10k coverage for property damage...

nearly 4 months later (insurance settlement took 3months + head swap and new timing belt for this lovely lady)....

'88 IX - (all from P.O.) Dinan Chip, Billy Boat exhaust, racing dynamics pedals, K&N, Borbet, Mtech steering whl.

She still needs fine tuning and more TLC... MANY THANKS TO MY GOOD BUDDIES FOR ALL THEIR HELP!!!

i was out and about... we have mutual friends - one of my buddies is a mechanic at Sear. apparently, one of of your friends works there too and had mentioned you car.

I am also close friend with 'quattro aka SNOWMOBILE. this car actually sat in his garage for almost 2 months and we parted out the grey car in the same garage.

sorry, didn't catch his name... but he described that red e30 in your signature box (i doubt there are too many red e30's like that) lol

...he drives a 1st get miata with a body kit all in primer black sitting on 15" staggered rims (if that helps).

Actually there are 3 other red e30's on the island, all of which are usually seen together so he may be confused with someone else haha. My friend John(EthirtyIS) with a 1990 325is turbo and Joey with a 1991 318i. And now you, Red is a popular color over here.

^^yeah man, if those flares were made of metal, I'd probably still have that car.
as for the settlement, I didn't get screwed, but I didn't get the entire amount either. at the end of the day, I'm just happy to have an IX again
