Funny, I was looking for a spray paint to match my vinyl wrap and I found your post.

I know this thread is a year old but that is a damn fine rattle can job. Is it still holding up?

That's cool we ended up with a similar paint scheme.

I guess I'll update this thread also. The paint has held up ok in the last year but has noticeably faded; I should have used a clear coat. I'm going to repaint it once I get another car.

I also installed GC coil-overs, put in new bushings, removed ~200lbs from the car, and some other stuff I can't remember.
I'll post some pics in a day or so.

Edit:Ohh yea, here are two pics from an Auto-X a few months ago; still on old suspension.

What did you remove to shed 200lbs? I'm looking to cut some weight from my car this year. Thanks for the update. Still looks pretty good

To lighten it up I removed the following:

              Trunk tar~55lbs
              Trunk carpet/lining 17lbs
              Rear leather seat top~16.5lbs
              Rear leather seat bottom~13.6lbs
              Both rear door cards~8lbs
              Rear section of carpet~2.6lbs
              Both front door cards~11lbs
              Tweeter pods~.5lbs
              Carpet~35lbs
              Interior tar~11lbs
              Spare tire~33lbs
              Factory jack~5lbs

              So that's ~208.2lbs.

I'll post pics and links to some threads that have good weight reduction info when I get home.

Awesome thanks for the info. Weighed the other night I was 2620lbs with 3/4 tank and a full stereo, spare, jack etc. Pulling the sub out but leaving the amp for my fronts and rears. Spare, jack all that non-sense is coming out. Powersteering and A/C components coming out. I don't have any trunk tar but I'm pulling the carpet up front and removing whatever is up there. Would like to see my car in the 2400 range.

Here are the links I was talking about. http://bmwe30cars.blogspot.com/2009/...f-bmw-e30.html

Here are some quick pics I just took, nothing special. Hopefully sometime soon I can borrow my friends D5100 or have her take some pics of my car.

You should save a few bucks and have a professional pound out the panel and block it for you.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I'll probably just have another panel welded in, but it's not a priority right now.

OK, it’s been a long time since I’ve updated this thread but here goes nothing.

I’ve done a lot to the car since the last post so I’m just going to list it all with bullet points. Ohh yea it’s also not blue anymore, I only have one picture of how it looks now from an autoX but I’ll take a few pictures of the car tomorrow.

                                Stuff done to the car
                                • Full GC coil over kit 525f/750r

                                • New rotors/pads
                                • New clutch slave
                                • New fuel lines, new fuel pumps, new fpr, new filter, gas tank
                                • Z3 steering rack and tie rods
                                • Power Steering delete
                                • A/C removed
                                • New odo gears
                                • UUC DSSR
                                • Delrin Shift carrier bushing
                                • E60 shifter
                                • Condor solid motor mounts
                                • Miller PSIK w/ 19lb injectors
                                • TRM C1 15x8 et20 with BFG Rivals for autoX
                                • Rolled fenders
                                • Depo euro smilies
                                • Skid plate

I’ve probably forgotten some things but that should be all the major stuff.

Now here are a bunch of random pics from the last year

These are from a trip I took to a friends cabin in the hill country near Leakey,TX

These two are from an autoX a few months ago

                                Busted engine mounts

                                New wheels/tires

                                Doing bushings and other crap

                                Bye bye blue

This is from this months autoX and the most reent picture of it with the new "paint"

So that pretty much wraps up what I've done to the car so far. I'll hopefully be getting some more upgrades for the car in the next few months and I'll post some pics of the new "paint job" tomorrow.
