I don't understand what the big deal is about slick tops. I like sunroofs, but maybe that's just me?

Looks like it has good potential.

                This will be badass.
Yes, m42 will be Replaced by a fully rebuilt, machined, boost ready 2.7i. Hope to have it boosted within 6 months. Power goals are 350-400 at the wheels.

Driving it howme was fun, the left CAB budging is gone, yes I mean gone...so kept it under 55, pretty sketch.

Did you pay the $1500 he was asking? He didn't mention the CAB in the fs ad, hope you got a deal on it.

Buy 318is slick top for less weight. Install heavy M20.

We were about to walkaway when my friend made a joke," this is not a 1500 dollar car! It's like a 700 dollar car!"

Guy jumped up and said he'd do 700, at that price it's a good find.

The slick tops are a lot lighter in a place that makes a difference, up high. According to SCCA auto-x rules you can't remove a sunroof and stay stock, but if the car didn't come with one you're good. 318is is already a good car for auto-x, take away some of that top weight and it's even better.

Nice find for $700, I'll give you $800 for it.

nice, looks like my old e30 with the black trunk. cant beat that price for a slick top. You should leave it with the m42 and put a supercharger instead of putting on the heavy m20.

Good. I sent him a message about it but it seemed he was pretty firm on that price. Glad you got it for $700 because that is about what the car was worth.
