You're going to fit in well here. once you get that wheel/ tire/ suspension set-up going, head over to stance works. Don't tell them about the swap until about a month or so later. Guaranteed to make them shit brix.

Nah unfortunately the guy was kind of a redneck (understandably considering the swap). He pretty much acquired the 318 as a commuter and said "well, I have this 5.0 here..."

He got most of his info from e30v8.com though, pretty cool site for V8 swaps. I'm definitely having fun with it

Absolutely awesome! Doing a V8 swap isn't redneck if it's done nicely. Looks like you've got some cleaning up to do but seems like a great starting point to me! I had a 88 Volvo 740 with a 5.0 in it for a while.

Judging by that video it sounds pretty horrible. Put some Flowmasters on that thing it it will sound AMAZING.

Don't understand why people are talking about how dirty in the engine bay is. He probably just finished the swap and hasn't cleaned anything up yet. It is a cool swap.

Actually I've put a Magnaflow on it since that video and I love the way it sounds now! Held a Flowmaster up to it before that and it was too tinny sounding on this setup (no resonator, no cat). Now it has great tone.
