bullshit.!!!! I am not european, but have lived over here on the economy for about 6 years, and another 6 in the army--"cheap gas"
there is nothing normal about paying 120 dollars to fill your tank, and there really is nothing that is "cheaper" here either!!!! It drives me absolutely crazy, and all the germans i know too. but, what can you do. the germans are a much more passive people-- they wont riot and do crazy shit like us americans over the gas prices, they just deal with it-- and buy smaller gayer, shittier econo box diesels. maybe it stems from loosin 2 world wars-- they just keep quiet, and try not to rock the boat to much, i guess. there really are some crazy laws about expressing your feelings over here-- remember- this is not america-- the land of the free.

Like Mike said we don't find it normal to pay ridiculous prices on fucking gas

that's the reason why my 325i Sport is überrare here (an I am insane to drive it)

also cars with an higher displacement as 2.0L is so high taxed too
(280 euros for an 1.8L 8v and 642 euros for an 2.5L 12v additionnal road tax)

eerm permit, you're right both front tyres are switched

and the Lamin-X stuff is not so yellowish IMO

Score, I got something right. I must have been talking to some rich ass Europeans then, I shuddered when I heard the words "normal" "gas" and "one hundred and eighty dollars" in the same sentence...oh well, another reason we're better. My e30 is creeping over the $35 mark for a full tank.

ohh yeah, sorry about raving over the gas prices on your thread. the car looks really nice.
i know what your saying about the 2.5 E30s. My dumb ass just put one together to drive too. the wife loves it!!!! even more money going to the government for gas. I believe my yearly taxes are going to be around 450 euros.-- it has a cat. euro 1--- but it it still registered as a 316--- which hopefully doesnt get me thrown in jail if i get caught.

I espically love that M42. At least I know my car has a cousin in Europe. ;)

                All your cars are amazing.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

                  Sweet cars.

What you guys dont realize about life in europe, (at least the places I've been to) is that everything is in much closer proximity. Which means two things: First of all, you walk to a lot of places that here you might drive to. And second, while gas costs twice as much, a tank will also last you twice as long.

Its not like here (in Toronto at least) where if you just need to go for a walk in the park you have to drive half an hour to get to the park first, or if you need to pick up a bottle of milk or a pack of cigarettes, u have to drive ten minutes first to get there.

Exactly. That and if you need to go somewhere far, public transport is much more robust.

                    Keep it slideways!!
