Haha, how long have you been in the military?
It was decommissioned a year after I was born, and my grandpa had access to it because he was an Iranian general back in the seventies.

They have been trying to develop it for decades now, but there is just so much toxic waste there that it will surely take probably another decade.

There are currently a bunch of tech companies in the hangers, as well as a HUGE state of the art fitness club with rockwall, etc..also a two wineries, and a skatepark.

BMWCCA and the Porsche clubs hold auto-x there too...

I personally hope that it'll stay the way it is, so many memories of adventures there when growing up...

Lets just say I enlisted in 1986 at age 19.

Thanks for posting the pics! Sweet ride! I lived there when I was a kid. We were stationed there till 1976 or so. Brought back some old memories!
