    My first M3

Yesterday my search for the right M3 was finally finished. I have been searching for nearly a year and ever since Archiesfest I have had a team of M3 owners helping me with the search. Thanks to Jack, Fred and Shant as well as the other members that have helped me out the past few months. I have looked and made offers on many cars from rolling chassis cars to a M3 convertible over the past year and this car seemed to fit the bill.

I knew this car well and had joked the owner for several years about selling her to me. Dave called me a week or so ago and we tried to negotiate a fair price but I could not afford his asking price. The night before last, after a few beers,:drink: I made him another offer and we came to terms.

This morning I took the old girl out to stretch her legs. This was the first time I had driven an M3 with an S14 motor. I decided to take her up Palomar Mountain. During the ride I stopped to take a couple of pictures to share with you all.

As I drove the car through the twisties I got what I call "M3 Goose Bumps". What an amazing car, I feel very lucky to be the caretaker of this old girl and look forward to many years of great times with her.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Nice car. Lets hear some more specifics, what year? How many miles? It looks great in the pics. Is it stock? I dig the style 5s.

Oh yes! a touring would be great but they are so hard to find here in the USA. Maybe one day.

Damn that's nice. So is driving it underwhelming?

1990 M3 DS with black interior. S14 with about 2,000 miles on rebuild. Paint is a resprayed Diamond Schwartz done nicely. 135,000 on chassis. Interior is a 7 with a cracked dash and the original seats that are in OK condition. The motor needs a good cleaning and some touch up painting. The suspension has Alpina springs with Billy sports. That's about all I know right now until I start getting my hands dirty digging deeper. Thanks for the comments and she is amazing to drive through the mountain roads.

                    Cheers,
