    So for the swap- engine, tranny, drive shaft, radiator, computer, wireing harness and i think that was about it. everything else worked. the hardest part for us to figure out was the wiring.

    From what i see everything fits since it is a factory e30 engine. The only thing needing modification is the c104 as the later e30's had a round c101 instead of the square c104.

    Thanks guys! yeah it was painted super nice then when it was being put in it got all messed up so i have to redo it. looks sexy in the car though!

    I have always thought an M42 in an '84 318i (manual windows, manual locks) would make an awesome car, since the '84 318i was the lightest production E30.

    6 months is kind of a long time, did you just work on it off and on?
