Picked this beast up last week. 1985 745i Executive with water buffalo interior. Got it running decently. Only issues so far are terrible respray, HVAC not working properly, and the AFM is not the correct unit.

Now to get it by smog nazis...

Plans are to 5-speed, style 5, lower it some and get it to the 350-400hp mark. I am loving this car so far!

This is a 745i. The engine is based on the m30 and has a factory turbo.

YES! I just picked up an '85 745i exec this past Sunday!! I'll get some pics up this weekend!! Sweet ride!! If I may ask two questions... How many on the miles on the clock? How much did you pay? Holland, a good condition example will fetch $5k or so. There one on eBay with a BIN of $15k, which is quite ambitious. Maintenance is most like any m30. Though the AFM is specific to this engine. And there are quite a bit of vacuum leaks which likely fubars the HVAC system (a big problem with these cars).
